PROPERTIES AND COMPOSITION OF BREAST MILK

The milk secreted from the mother until the first 3-5 days after birth is also called colostrum, colloquially, colostrum.

- With its formula rich in anti-infectious factors, colostrum protects the newly born baby from infections and diseases from the first minutes of life. So it provides FIRST IMMUNE.

-Contains growth factors.

- The first stool of the baby facilitates the excretion of meconium from the intestine, thanks to the substances that have a laxative effect in colostrum. Thus, it is easier to prevent jaundice in the baby, as bilirubin is excreted from the intestine with the stool.

Colostrum, in other words, colostrum, contains essential minerals (zinc) and vitamins (A, D and B12) sufficiently and functionally in the first week of the baby's life.

Mouth milk contains more protein than mature milk secreted in the following days, so it is very important for growth and development.

Contains less fat and fatty acids than mature milk.

* Colostrum, that is, ORAL MILK should be given to the baby, not even a drop of it should be wasted.

THE MOST IMPORTANT FEATURE OF THE NUTRITIONAL COMPOSITION OF BREAST MILK, THAT IT CHANGES ACCORDING TO THE BABY'S AGE AND STATUS, EVEN IMMEDIATELY, REVEALS THAT IT IS A GORGEOUS FOOD SPECIAL TO THE BABY.

MATURE MILK RELEASED AFTER THE 15th DAY, the bluish-colored WATER AND SUGARED part produced at the beginning of the first breastfeeding is called PRE MILK. It meets the baby's water and energy needs. The fat-rich whitish milk produced towards the end of breastfeeding is called SONSÜT, it ensures that the baby feels full, grows and develops.

Almost 88% and MORE OF THE COMPOSITION OF BREAST MILK IS WATER. For this reason, newborn babies and babies who are only breastfed within the first 6 months should not be given WATER unless there is a medical reason, they do not need it.

THE PROTEINS CONTAINED IN BREAST MILK DON'T CONTAIN ALLERGEN FACTORS AND ARE EASY TO DIGEST.
